A Fort Smith, Arkansas-based furniture retailer recently acquired 13 Furniture Liquidator stores, including one in Seymour.

A series of retirement and liquidation events are being planned as a “thank you” to the loyal customers of Furniture Liquidators in the Kentuckiana market and to make room for the new FFO Home inventory, according to a news release.

The rebranding of all 13 Furniture Liquidators stores to FFO Home is expected to be completed by November, said Larry Zigerelli, president and chief executive officer of FFO Home.

Furniture Liquidators was established in 1965.

Since Zigerelli began leading FFO Home in 2012, the company has opened 24 stores and moved its corporate office, distribution center and warehouses from Muldrow, Oklahoma, to Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Zigerelli said FFO Home’s biggest sponsorship is with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

FFO Home opened its first store on Rogers Avenue in Fort Smith in 1984 (known then as Furniture Factory Outlet) and has grown to 51 stores across the seven-state area of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Mississippi and Tennessee.

After the rebrand, FFO Home will have 64 stores total under the brand and 15 Mattress and More locations with a payroll of about 800.
