SEYMOUR

Mrs. Dollymae Hecker, 90 of Seymour, passed away on Monday, July 2nd, 2018. She was born in Rochester, PA on May 27th, 1928 to Ira B and Hannah (Kirschler) Daman.

On September 25, 1954, she married Paul A. Hecker; who still survives. She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Beaver Falls, PA since 1963. She worked as a church secretary for several years and continued to volunteer in many capacities. She also worked as a secretary at Babcock & Wilcox SteelMill in Beaver Falls. She enjoyed being a mom and homemaker, taking care of her husband and family at their home in Darlington PA, where they lived for 55 years till moving to Seymour, IN in 2016. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She enjoyed crafts and volunteering for many organizations including the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her husband Paul; children, Paul D. Hecker, Donna (Rev, Andrew) Currao; grandchildren Hannah (Clayton) Klosterman, Emily (Nick) Nehrt, and Abigail Currao; Great-grandchild Evelyn Nehrt and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lillian Lutz, Gladys Thellman, Dorothy Reed, brothers, Ira Daman, Elmer Daman, Herbert Daman, Roy Daman, Melvin Daman and a nephew David Lutz.

Family and friends may call at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church on Friday July 6th, from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday July 6th at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Eric Ash officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Beaver Falls.
