TCC and Wireless Zone are teaming up to donate 187,000 backpacks full of school supplies to children through TCC’s annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway.

Between 1 and 4 p.m. July 22, more than 1,000 participating TCC and Wireless Zone stores are inviting local families to bring their children to a TCC store to pick up a backpack filled with pencils, paper, a pencil box, folders, glue and more.

The participating TCC store in Seymour is at 1327 E. Tipton St. Each participating TCC store will donate 220 backpacks on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any leftover backpacks will be donated to local schools.

Since 2013, TCC has donated more than 752,000 backpacks filled with supplies to ensure children are well prepared for the start of the school year, according to a news release from the authorized Verizon retailer.
