Friends book sale planned at library

The Friends of the Jackson County Public Library used book sale is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 7 in the meeting room at the library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

A special Friends-only preview of the sale is from 4 to 5:30 p.m. July 6 and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. July 7.

During the final two hours of the sale July 7, the popular “everything-a-bag-can-hold-for-$3” pricing is in effect.

Regular prices include adult hardback and softbound books at $1 each; children and young adult books and paperbacks are 50 cents; and DVDs are $2.

Donations of gently used books, movies and music are welcome to help stock upcoming bimonthly sales and the ongoing sales at Seymour, Crothersville and Medora. Drop them off at any checkout desk during library hours.

Anyone interested in becoming a Friend (or renewing membership for this year) will find forms at the sale, at the checkout desk or online. Annual dues (January through December) are $5 for individuals, $10 for family, $25 for donor and $50 for benefactor.

The next bimonthly sale is Sept. 8, a week later than normal due to the Labor Day holiday weekend.
