Mr. Donald Eugene Mellencamp Sr., 81, of Seymour, passed away on June 27, 2018 at Schneck Medical Center. He was born in Seymour on January 22, 1937 to the late Albert and Ethel (Baker) Mellencamp.

Graveside services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday, June 30 at Riverview Cemetery at 9 am with Reverend Van Breeding officiating.

Don retired from Thompson’s Dairy/Best Ever/Prairie Farms after 40 years of service. On October 18, 2006, he married Marie E. Weber; she preceded him in death on May 5, 2017.

He is survived by his children, Donnie (Brie) Mellencamp, Mike (Stacy) Mellencamp, Jamie (Jackie) Mellencamp, Tony (Kay) Mellencamp, Debbie (Brian) Burke, Teresa Sanford; step-children, Daniel (Margie) Luckey, Beth (Mark) Brock, Charles Reynolds, Joe (April) Luckey and Dessa Luckey( Bobby Ray); 28 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Robert Mellencamp; and sister, Ruth Boknecht.
