The Crothersville Town Council will meet this week to hire a police officer.

During an executive session at 6 p.m. Wednesday, the council will review applications for the open position. That meeting is closed to the public and press.

Then at 6 p.m. Thursday, a special meeting will be conducted to announce the hiring. The public and press is welcome to attend that meeting.

Both meetings will be at Crothersville Town Hall, 111 E. Howard St.
