Brownstown Public Library’s Adult Book Club plans to discuss “The Broken Road” by Richard Paul Evans at 11 a.m. May 11 at the library, 120 E. Spring St., Brownstown.
A Chicago celebrity, Charles James can’t shake the nightmare that wakes him each night. He sees himself walking down a long, broken highway the sides of which are lit in flames. Where is he going? Why is he walking? What is the wailing he hears around him?
The club is designed to provide an informal, congenial atmosphere for patrons 18 and older to share their literary interpretations of the current book selection. Everyone should read the month’s selection before the meeting, but feel free to attend even if you haven’t finished the book as long as you don’t mind hearing how the book ends.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussion, but listeners are welcome.
Registration is required for this program led by Karen Raymer.
