Carl Dean Fisher, 84, of Norman, passed away on April 29, 2018 at Hoosier Christian Village.

Mr. Fisher was born at his home in Norman on December 2, 1933, and was the son of Luke and Ruby (Nell) Fisher.

Mr. Fisher and his wife were lifelong members of Liberty Christian Church.

Carl was a farmer, worked for the Indiana Department of Transportation, and was in the United States Air Force for 2 years. Mr. Fisher loved coon hunting and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved Blue Grass music, as well as his time spent playing with the Back Creek Tomato Pickers. He was instrumental in starting the Norman Conservation club and was a Trustee for the Clearspring School.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Estelle (Enochs) Fisher; children: Jeffery Dean (Dora) Fisher of Norman, Franklin Dwight (Maria) Fisher of Norman, Donna Sue Goodpaster (Duane McClintok) of North Vernon, Debra Faye (Larry) Eggeman of Seymour, and Julie Diane (Charles) Newby of Seymour; grandchildren: Earl Dean Hensley, Jeannie Hensley, Amber Baumert, Renessa Goodpaster, Wilson Fisher, Ciara Fisher, Sara Fisher, Maggie Moore, Luke Fisher, April Pugh, Austin Kaufman, and Dayton Newby; 14 great-grandchildren; four brothers: Dwight Fisher, Daniel Fisher, Donnie Fisher, and David Fisher; two sisters: Sue (Russell) Callahan, and Joy (Henry) Fish; and Cindy Flinn, a dear niece. He was preceded in death by both parents; three sisters: June Hoaks, Faye Brittain, and Norma Miller; and one brother, Donald Fisher.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Liberty Christian Church, with Pastor Kenny Fisher officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church.

Interment will be at Liberty Christian Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Liberty Christian Church or any charity of choice.
