Church presents series on addiction


Seymour Church of Christ invites the public to a series of lessons about addiction entitled “How can the strongholds of addiction be torn down?”

The series will be presented by Art Adams, a master social worker, a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed clinic addictions counselor. The evangelist also is a certified alcohol and drug addiction counselor and is internationally certified in addiction counseling. He also holds a master’s degree in social work from Andrews University.

These lessons from Adams are designed to give people the tools for recovery and provide hope and encouragement through the process.

The schedule of lessons and topics are 7:30 p.m. Friday (substance addiction, leaving the cycle; 7:30 p.m. Saturday (freedom from sexual addiction); 9:30 a.m. Sunday (family survival during addiction); 10:30 a.m. Sunday (Bible tools for recovery); and 5 p.m. Sunday (creating a welcoming church).

The church is located at 710 Meadowbrook Drive, Seymour.
