Book discussion groups announced

Jackson County Public Library book discussion groups plan to gather to discuss book themes, writing styles, characters and more this month at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries.

The groups are open to adults, and there is no attendance requirement.

The Tuesday Night Book Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. It will discuss “Utopia” by Lincoln Child on April 10 at Mike’s Pizza in Seymour. Information services assistant Janet Hensen leads the club. Everyone attending should bring money if they plan to eat. Registration is required for this program. Sign up for the program as you check out your copy of the book at the Seymour Library checkout desk.

Fantastic Fiction will discuss “The Shoemaker’s Wife” by Adriana Trigiani at 11 a.m. April 13 at the Seymour Library. Led by a Seymour Library staff member, this group meets the third Friday of each month. Check out a copy of the book and pick up a copy of the discussion questions at the checkout desk.

The book discussion group at the Crothersville Library, which meets the third Wednesday of each month, will gather and share thoughts on “American Sniper” by Chris Kyle at 6 p.m. April 18. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the Crothersville Library.

The Medora Library discussion group will meet at 6 p.m. April 23 to talk about “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee” by Dee Brown. This group meets on the fourth Monday of each month. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the Medora Library.
