The Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce is taking reservations for plots in the community garden at Margaret R. Brown Elementary School, 550 Miller Lane, Seymour.

Returning gardeners may begin requesting plots immediately, while all new gardeners may request garden plots beginning Monday until all plots are reserved.

Plot rental is $10 for a small plot (10-by-20 foot) and $20 for a large plot (20-by-20 foot).

Gardeners should maintain their plots and control insects and weeds, and are prohibited from using herbicides, insecticides and black plastic mulch. April 14 is the first day of planting.

To sign up for a plot, call the chamber office at 812-522-3681. Rules of participation will be given upon registration.
