Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will conduct a Paint the Town social painting experience from 1 to 5 p.m. April 8 at the studio workshop.

Participants will paint a 10-by-20 inch canvas with their family’s names. Various color choices will be available. The canvas can be completed with a family picture.

The project will take approximately two hours to complete. Participants can drop in after 1 p.m. with no arrivals after 3 p.m. No previous art experience or talent is required.

Prepayment and preregistration are required by April 4 so stencils can be prepared by class time.

The cost of the workshop is $50, and SICA members will receive a 20 percent discount. Those planning to participate are asked to provide the last and first names of family members when they reserve their spot. A sample of the project can be viewed on SICA’s Facebook page.

The arts center at 2001 N. Ewing St., Seymour, is open from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
