Brownstown Central weightlifting winners announced

Brownstown Central High School recently named its winter weightlifting winners.

The winners were determined by how much they improved on their power club, which combined squat, clean and bench press.

Junior class: Seth Borden +75 ponds

Sophomore class: Hayden Kinsler and Dustin Justice +60 pounds

Freshman class: Lucas Hines and Treyton Ream +80 pounds

Local players receive honors

Players from Brownstown Central and Trinity Lutheran have received academic all-state honorable mention honors by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.

Those named were Madison Klinge, Kristen Stuckwisch and Shelby Stuckwisch of Brownstown Central, and Abby Hackman and Jodi Goecker of Trinity Lutheran.
