4-H volunteers Sydney Wiesehan and Michael Claycamp will lead the Biosecurity SPARK Club from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 19 at Purdue Extension Jackson County, 111 S. Main St., Suite 10, Brownstown.

Discover your inner scientist and learn about biosecurity basics, disease transmission, pathogens, vaccines, immunity, germs and infectious disease.

The activity is open to all Jackson County youth in grades 3 through 8 regardless of their current involvement in the Jackson County 4-H program.

To register, call Purdue Extension Jackson County at 812-358-6101 or email Heather VonDielingen at [email protected].

It’s free to current 4-H members who have paid their program fees for 2018. For youth not currently enrolled in 4-H, there is a $20 program fee that provides access to all Jackson County 4-H opportunities and activities.

Register by March 16. There is a limit of 16 youth participants. Attendees should pack a sack lunch.
