A surprise open house reception has been planned for George W. Champ of Seymour, who will celebrate his 100th birthday March 17.

The reception will be from 2 to 5 p.m. that day in the fellowship center at First Baptist Church, 505 Community Drive, Seymour.

Cards will be accepted, but the family is requesting no gifts.
