Members of Theta Omega chapter of Phi Beta Psi sorority recently conducted their February business meeting at the Boys & Girls Club of Seymour.
President Jackie Hill was assisted by Jamie Grinstead, Michele Lewis, Karen Schepman, Kalee Alberring and Janet Cooper.
The dance committee gave a report, and a motion was passed to send $16,720 to the sorority’s national project, cancer research. The sweetheart baskets, won by Meredith Charlton and Lisa McCoy, brought in $1,860 to be given to Justin Brewer of Brownstown, who is undergoing treatment for cancer. Members then voted to send $200 to Katie and Shane Tormoehlen of Vallonia, whose children also are receiving cancer treatments.
Upcoming events were mentioned — Basket bingo April 17 and the spring Hen and Chicks Barn Market on May 18 and 19.
Hill presented the 2017-18 annual review questions in a fun form, which all those present enjoyed.
THETO was won by Cori Vaughn.
