Cub Scout Pack 526’s annual Pinewood Derby was Feb. 11 in the gymnasium at St. Ambrose Catholic School in Seymour.

“The Pinewood Derby gives the kids a great experience since they build, decorate and race their own cars. As Scout leaders, we’re really pleased with the turnout, and all the kids seemed to have a lot of fun,” Cubmaster Bonnye Good said.

During the derby, Scouts compete in den divisions. Everyone, including Scouts and their siblings, parents and grandparents, compete in the open division.

The winners for each den advance to the district pinewood derby later this month.
