The Medora Community School Corp. board of trustees recently approved the 2018-19 school calendar.

The first day of school for teachers will be Aug. 3, and students will start Aug. 6.

School will not be in session Labor Day, Sept. 3.

Fall break is set for Oct. 15 to 19, Thanksgiving break is Nov. 21 to 23, Christmas break will be Dec. 20 to Jan. 2, and spring break is March 25 to 29.

Built-in snow days in 2019 are scheduled for Jan. 21, Feb. 18, April 19 and 22 and May 3 and 24.

The last day of school is set for May 23, and the Class of 2019 will have commencement at 7:30 p.m. May 24 in the school gymnasium.

If it is necessary, snow days will be used to make up student instructional days. Any additional days missed will be added to the end of the scheduled school year, beginning May 28.
