Alzheimer’s Association expands services to Columbus

The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana chapter has expanded its Care Consultation services.

Consultations, conducted by appointment only, now will take place in Columbus every second Wednesday of the month.

These are in addition to the consultations currently at the Alzheimer’s Association chapter offices in Merrillville, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis.

Care Consultation is a free service provided by the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana chapter to help families navigate through their many thoughts, emotions and questions about memory loss and coping with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias.

Consultations include personalized care planning, education and support, and are available at all points in the disease process, from a new diagnosis to late-stage. Caregivers are welcome to bring their loved one with Alzheimer’s to a Care Consultation, but it is not required.

To schedule a Care Consultation in Columbus, contact Denise Saxman at 317-587-2204.
