Tasting event aids Reins to Recovery

A new fundraiser will benefit Reins to Recovery Inc. Therapeutic Riding Center.

The inaugural Whinnies & Wine — Reins to Recovery Wine & Beer Festival is set for 1 to 7 p.m. April 28 at the Indiana National Guard Armory, 1925 First Ave., Seymour.

The wine and beer tasting event will showcase Indiana wines and breweries.

Attendees must be 21 or older. Identifications will be checked.

Early bird admission tickets are $28.45 if purchased by 11:30 p.m. Friday. That includes a complimentary wine glass at the door.

Tickets for designated drivers are $12.61, and general admission tickets are $33.72. Both also include a complimentary wine glass.

Reins to Recovery provides therapeutic horseback riding to children and adults with disabilities and equine-assisted learning and equine-assisted psychotherapy to victims of violence and abuse and youth at risk. The center is at 10861 U.S. 31 North, north of Reddington.
