Area residents can start the new year by creating an indoor/outdoor wooden sign during the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ first Paint the Town project from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 13.
The 10-by-36-inch pine board features a whimsical snowman enjoying snowflakes, according to a news release from the center at 2001 N. Ewing St., Seymour.
The reverse side option is a spring scene with flowers, a hopping bunny and three baby chicks. Participants can add a greeting to either side if they choose — “Let it Snow,” “Welcome Peeps” or your choice.
Don’t fret if you have no painting skills, as all supplies, patterns and instructions will be provided.
The cost is $35 for one side or $50 for both. The class size is limited to 12, and preregistration and prepayment are required by Jan. 11.
