
Whitney Pottschmidt, of Seymour, will participate in the Winter Jazzfest and handbell choir concerts Dec. 8 and 9 on Concordia University, Nebraska’s campus.
The Winter Jazzfest will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Weller Chapel Auditorium.
The group will perform “Birdland” arranged by John Higgins, “Sweet Georgia Brown” arranged by Sammy Nestico and pieces by Gordon Goodwin and Bob Turner, to name a few.
The Concordia Handbell Choir and Handbell Choir II will perform at 3 p.m. Dec. 9 in the music center’s recital hall.
The handbell choirs will perform Christmas pieces, including “Wizards in Winter,” “Deck the Halls,” “Children, Go Where I Send Thee” and “Huron Carol.” Concordia Handbell Choir’s CD, “Faithful,” released in April, also will be available for purchase at the concert.
