St. Peter’s Ladies Aid meeting

The St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Ladies Aid met Nov. 2 in the parish hall of the Brownstown church for a pitch-in meal.

Pastor Lepley was a guest and gave devotions by reading from Revelations Chapter 7 and gave prayer.

Roll call was answered by 11 members. The secretary and treasurer reports were read and approved.

Reports were given by Rose Elmer for visits to sick and shut-in, Bonnie Duffy for visits to nursing homes and Bertie Roettger for altar flowers.

It was announced that the Christmas party will be a noon luncheon Dec. 7 at the church meeting room, followed by games and singing. A $5 donation is asked of each member.

Election results of officers for 2018 are president, Kathryn Cunningham; vice president, Roettger; secretary, Elmer; and treasurer, Joyce Stuckwisch. Cunningham and Roettger are on the altar flower committee, and Ileen Nehrt and Janet Myers are on the funeral committee.

A thank you went to everyone for the wide variety of food for lunch.

The meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer.
