CROTHERSVILLE

Doris Ann Wineinger, 68, of Crothersville, IN, passed away at 3:55 PM on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the University of Louisville Hospital. Born June 11, 1949 in Paoli, IN, she was the daughter of Duane Howard Chastain and Dorothy Mae (Alford) Chastain.

On December 22, 1972 in French Lick, IN, she married Harold Leon Wineinger who passed away on August 10, 2011. Doris graduated from Paoli High School in 1967 and from Indiana State in 1972. Doris was a school teacher at Crothersville Community Schools for 39 years and retired in 2011. She attended First Baptist Church of Crothersville, was a member of the retired teacher’s association, enjoyed crocheting, and having fun gambling on the boat.

Survivors include her children, Denise Wade (Tony Penrose) of Crothersville, IN and Harold (Winona) Wineinger Jr. of Sellersburg, IN, 3 grandchildren, Chelsea Tice of Crothersville, IN, Levi Wade of Crothersville, IN, and Tyler Branham of Edinburgh, IN, 2 great-grandsons, Kiefer Ernest Smith and Kyzaiah Leon Smith siblings, Diane (Larry) Phillips of Paoli, IN, Debbie (Tim) Banet of Floyds Knobs, IN, and Terry Chastain of Cub Run, KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Wineinger and a brother, Don Chastain.

Rev. Jon Pearce will conduct funeral services at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Crothersville, with burial to follow at Uniontown Cemetery. Friends may visit on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville.
