SEYMOUR, INDIANA

Mr. Timothy Richard Keenan, 69, of Seymour, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017, in Carmel. He was born on February 17, 1948, in Effingham, Illinois, to the late Richard and Margaret (Taphorn) Keenan.

On May 1, 1976, he married Patricia Thompson. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He worked as a manager at Kmart and Insurance Sales for Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed Colts, IU and Butler sports and volunteering for service organizations that help others. He would see a need and find a way to fill it.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Keenan; children, Amy Keenan, Patrick Keenan and daughter-in- law, Lauren Keenan; grandson, Ryan Keenan; brother, Michael Keenan and sister-in-law, Christy Keenan; sister, Barbara Bridgeman and brother-in-law, Royce Bridgeman; and beloved in-laws, Ira and Evelyn Thompson.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on Friday, November 3, at 11 am with Father Dan Staublin officiating and assisted by Deacon Mike East. Burial will be at St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday from 4-7 pm and at the church on Friday from10 am until time of Mass. Rosary service will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday at 3:45 pm. American Legion and VFW will do a flag presentation and TAPS on Thursday at 7 pm at Voss & Sons Funeral Service.

Memorials may be written to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Norton Children’s Hospital or charity of choice, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
