Cougars fall in 3 sets

FLOYDS KNOBS

Floyd Central defeated Trinity Lutheran 25-12, 25-9, 25-21 on Thursday in a varsity-only match.

Abby Hackman and Hannah Sabotin topped the Cougars with three kills each. Bailey Reynolds had nine digs and Courtney Barker tallied 13 assists for Trinity.

The Cougars (17-12) are off until Saturday when they face the hosts at the Class A Edinburgh Sectional.

Lanesville tops Tigers

LANESVILLE

Lanesville swept Crothersville 25-17, 25-12, 25-20 in a Southern Athletic Conference match Thursday.

Maddie Riley led the Tigers with 11 of the team’s 15 total kills.

Sam Hurtt had three aces and Bekah Cook recorded nine digs for the Tigers.

Crothersville (3-19) will play West Washington on Thursday in the first-round of the Class A Edinburgh Sectional.
