COLUMBUS
Nita M. Lentz, 43, of Columbus, died at 8 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2017.
Nita was born October 5, 1973, in Girard, Kansas, the daughter of Charles E. and Betty J. Moore Turner.
Nita had many interest in life, some of her favorites were, riding any kind of motorcycles, she was most fond of Harley-Davidsons, dogs, especially Yorkies, and dancing.
Nita is survived by her daughters, Brook (Rusty) McKeown of Seymour and Kelsey Lentz of Seymour; her grandchildren, Brentley and Zoe McKeown of Seymour; her mother, Betty Hill of Columbus; her father and step-mother, Charles and Noralhee Turner of Columbus; sisters, Stacy (Kevin) Ford of Hartsville and Stacia (Billy) Gerholdt of Franklin; brothers, David (Susan) Whitehead of Taylorsville and Douglas Turner of Columbus; her former husband, Keith Lentz of Seymour; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandparents, and other relatives.
Nita was preceded in death by grandparents, Juanita and Wilbur Ross.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home, 1029 Washington Street in Columbus with Nita’s brother, the Rev. David Whitehead officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place following the funeral service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
