CROTHERSVILLE

Dallas “John L” Harris, 67 of Crothersville, passed away at home on Thursday, September 28, 2017. Born March 18, 1950 in Harlan, KY, he was the son of Oliver Dallas Harris and Leona (Swanson) Harris Burkhart. On May 24, 1992 in Crothersville, John married Sherry Stigdon.

John was a retired packer driver for the City of Seymour having worked there 15 years. Prior, he worked as a truck driver for Gill Trucking. John had many interests including going to the boat gambling, fishing, hunting and family get togethers.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Sherry; daughter, Amberly (David) Nichols of Austin; son, Brandon (Vittoria) Brewer of Paris Crossing; grandchildren, Mickey (Halie) Nichols, Keith Brewer and Heather Brewer; siblings, Kathleen Moffatt of Seymour, Jerryleen (Roger) Engle of Seymour and Allene Howard of Uniontown. John also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Joseph Brewer; grandson, Steven Brewer; siblings, Josephine Stout and Tip Harris.

Pastor Philip Bloch will conduct a funeral service at 7:00 pm on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until service time.

Memorials can be made at the funeral home to the Hospice of Schneck Medical Center.
