The descendants of Dennis McMahon and Jane Edwards held their 97th annual McMahon reunion Aug. 19 at the Medora Community Center.

A presentation was given by Kim Midkiff Shepherd, great-great-great-granddaughter of Dennis and Jane Edwards McMahon. She shared maps and charts of Dennis’s military life, property ownership’s and their migration to Houston.

Bingo was played, a white elephant auction was conducted, prizes were awarded and old picture albums were shared.

Those in attendance were Dean and Mary Murphin, Christopher, Shawn, Tori, and Eli Murphin, Carla Stuckwisch, Harold and Rosetta Titus, Pearl Davis, all of Medora; Troy and Shannon Jones of Brownstown; Dick Rumph, Andy and Brandy Rumph, Marilyn and Jack Kendall, Mary Alice Goble, and Sandy Padron, all of Seymour; Jim and Kathie Carter of Westview, Ill; Richard Midkiff of Franklin; Kim Shepherd of Beech Grove; and Sue Johnson, and Shanet Johnson with, Frankie, of Columbus.

Jerry and Bonnie Thompson of Spraytown served as hosts.

Next year’s reunion will be Aug. 18 at Woodlawn Family Funeral Center in Seymour.
