Heritage Days features demonstrations, food, entertainment

Jackson County History Center will celebrate the second Jackson County Heritage Days Friday through Sunday.

The celebration will be from 5 p.m. to dusk Friday, 8 a.m. to dusk Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Food service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, with buildings open for tours from 4 to 8 p.m. Entertainment starts at 5 p.m. with Hallelujah Hillbillies, Monday Night Special and Sure Shot Turkey Dusters.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, the buildings will open, and food service will begin. Entertainment also will start at 10 a.m. with Glory Road, Stars and Stripes Cloggers, Country Kickers Line Dancing (roaring ’20s theme), Kiper Creek, Hoosier Hills and Alley Katz-n-Jammers.

Food service will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday, and the buildings will open at noon. Entertainment starts at 1 p.m. with George and Joyce Burdine, Long Family Singers, Infinity, Redemption Cross, Heartstrings and The Colwells.

The Jackson County History Center is located at 105 N. Sugar St., Brownstown.
