Mrs. Connie Jean LaFollette “Fluff” Poer, 50, of North Vernon, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Connie was born in Dearborn County on September 27, 1966, the daughter of Robert Gene and Margaret (Kappes) LaFollette.

She was a Regional Dispatch Manager for the Indiana State Police where she dedicated over 30 years, she attended First Christian Church of North Vernon, and graduated from South Dearborn High school, class of 1984. She enjoyed visiting lighthouses all over the U.S. and collecting lighthouse figurines, and vacationing in Mackinaw City, Michigan and the mountains of Gatlinburg. She was a great baker and Christmas was her favorite season to bake and provide treats for her family and friends. She enjoyed watching several crime shows on TV, and playing with her dogs Roxie and Dottie.

She married Randy L. Poer on July 11, 2009 in Brown County, IN.

Connie is survived by her mother, husband, a son, Douglas Arthur Yeary, a daughter, Sophia Kaitlin Yeary, a step-daughter Sylvia Poer, a brother, Dale (Melissa) LaFollette, one granddaughter, Callela Waltz, and a nephew, Jason LaFollette

Funeral service will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 10:30 am, with Pastor Anthony Sweeney officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery.

Family and Friends may call at Voss & Sons on Wednesday September 6, from 2 to 8 PM and on Thursday September 7, from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
