Two Seymour churches plan to offer Financial Peace University courses next month.

The course at Central Christian Church, 1434 W. Second St., will begin at 5:45 p.m. Sept. 6, while the course at Cornerstone Community Church, 1088 Sarasota Drive, will begin at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 24.

Financial Peace University is operated by syndicated columnist Dave Ramsey and is designed to teach families and individuals how to handle their money through common-sense principles and small-group accountability.

Lessons include budgeting, relationships and money, getting out of debt, saving for emergencies and investing.

After each lesson, the group meets in smaller groups to help and encourage each other, plan budgets and discuss successes and temptations.
