The Jackson County Public Library is partnering with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the Eiteljorg Museum to offer something free to residents of the library district that includes Seymour, Crothersville and Medora.
Library district residents may use their library cards to check out entrance passes to Indiana state parks or to the Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis.
Passes, available at the library in Seymour, check out for one week and are not holdable or able to be reserved.
The Eiteljorg Museum pass, sponsored by the Friends of the Jackson County Public Library, includes general admission to the museum for up to four adults and all children 17 and under. The Eiteljorg Museum is at 500 Washington St., Indianapolis. Parking is free for museum guests.
The annual state park entrance permit will admit the card holder and all persons accompanying in a single private, family-type, noncommercial vehicle or two motorcycles to all properties administered by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources where entrances are designated and fees are charged.
It is not valid for entrance to the Indiana State Museum or state historic sites. A family entering the property on bicycles also may use this permit in lieu of the pedestrian and bicycle pass.
For information about the museum or state park passes, visit the checkout desk at the library in Seymour at 303 W. Second St.
