Larmie Dean Hubbard, 81, of Kurtz, Indiana, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017, at his residence.

He was born April 2, 1936, in Jackson County, Indiana, to Alfred Lee Hubbard and Esta Hall Hubbard who both of whom preceded him in death. He was married to Cherry Fay Beard Hubbard who passed away on April 8, 2008.

He was a member of the Clearspring Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Air Force where he retired from in 1981. He served 20 years in Civil Service Navy at Crane. He played as a musician for church groups. He graduated from Clearspring High School in 1954.

He is survived by two sons, Linnie Gean Hubbard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Clifton Lance Hubbard, Bloomington, Indiana, and two daughters, Melody Darleane Taggart, Kurtz, Indiana, and Taffy Ann Hubbard, Kurtz, Indiana. He has 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Two brothers survive, Gary Hubbard, South Carolina and Nicky Hubbard, Leesville, Indiana, and one sister, Nelda Harold, Anderson, Indiana.

He is preceded in death by three sisters, Lovelle Hubbard, Lorna Collins, and Greta Wilson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 11:00 am at Zabel Funeral Home, Brownstown, Indiana with Minister David Sawyer officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017, at Zabel Funeral Home and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Kurtz Cemetery.

Graveside military rites will be held. Memorials may be given to The American Cancer Society or Donors Choice.
