Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of

Mrs. Frances Rose Clem Rose

Mrs. Frances Rose Clem Rose, 81, of Seymour, Indiana, formerly of Deputy, entered this life on October 25, 1935 in Bath County, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late Thomas Dexter Clem and Mary Lydia Hart Reffitt. She was raised in Kentucky later moving to Indiana.

She was a member of the Solid Rock Community Church near Deputy and had held membership in the Seymour VFW Post Auxiliary and the DAV Post Auxiliary. She was employed with the Excel Shirt Factory in Seymour for 18 years and with Regal Rugs in North Vernon.

She worked for two years in Salem at the Jewelry Store. Rosie as some called her was a caregiver most of her life having worked in private care, nursing homes, and the State hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, sewing, woodworking, yard work, yard sales, puzzles, jig saw and crossword puzzles. Frankie was a very creative mind and could make anything by just looking at it.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Frances died on Friday, August 11, 2017, at 6:35 a.m. at the Lutheran Community Home in Seymour, Indiana.

A LOVING FAMILY

Frances will be missed by her loving daughters, Elaine Basham of Commiskey, Indiana, Bobbi K. Lake and her companion, Byron Clarke of Saint Petersburg, Florida; her loving sons, Clyde Cooley and his wife, Sheena of Butlerville, Indiana, Raymond DeWayne Brewer, Jr. and his wife, Tabitha of Napoleon, Ohio; her grandchildren, Michael Cooley, Trevor Cooley, Niki Johnson and her husband, Tim, Melissa Ison, Shawn Ison, Lydia Lloyd and her fiancee’, Job Knepper, Alaina Moody, Abigail Basham, Amy Basham, Alex Brown and her companion, Bryan Howard, Elizabeth Brown; her great grandchildren, Maddie, Lilly, Nathan, Alana, and Jacob; her sister, Myrtle Hawkins of Indiana; her brother, Dexter Thomas Clem of North Vernon, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Dexter Clem, her mother, Mary Lydia Hart Reffitt, her son in law, Alan Basham, her step daughters, Sharron Faye Cooley Maddox and JoAnn Cooley Tingle, her sisters, Esther Becraft, Kathleen Becraft, Fern Pelfrey, Odessa Higginbotham, and her brother, Clyde Reffitt.

FUNERAL CEREMONY

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Mike Shuler at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Dupont Cemetery in Dupont, Indiana.

VISITATION

Friends may call Monday from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
