The Jackson County History Center will celebrate its second Jackson County Heritage Days on Sept. 8, 9 and 10 at its campus, 105 N. Sugar St., Brownstown.

All of the museums, log cabins and genealogy library will be open.

The center will be serving beans, cornbread and pork burgers with secret sauce all three days.

Hours of the celebration are 5 p.m. to dusk Sept. 8, 8 a.m. to dusk Sept. 9 and noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 10.

The history center is looking for food vendors, handcrafted demonstrators with items for sale and music. Organizers are hoping to schedule entertainment on the stage for the evening of Sept. 8 and all day Sept. 9 and 10.

A limited number of flea market spaces are available. Vendor space applications with full payment are due by Sept. 1 and cost $40 each. Vendors must provide their own tables and tents or protective covering, as all spaces will be outside.

For information or an application, call Margo Brewer at 812-358-2924 or Gloria Cross at 812-358-4005 and leave a message.
