The Willow Creek Association’s 23rd Global Leadership Summit will be simulcast live by satellite in high definition from Willow Creek Community Church near Chicago to 600 sites in North America on Thursday and Aug. 11, including The Point in Seymour.

The summit drives transformation with fresh, actionable insight from a diverse faculty who challenge leaders to maximize their influence, according to a news release from the association.

Included in the 14 members of the faculty are:

  • Bill Hybels, founder of The Global Leadership Summit, senior pastor at Willow Creek Community Church
  • Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer, Facebook
  • Marcus Lemonis, star of CNBC’s “The Profit,” CEO of Camping World and Good Sam
  • Gary Haugen, founder and CEO of International Justice Mission
  • Andy Stanley, leadership author, communicator, pastor
  • Marcus Buckingham, best-selling author of “Now, Discover Your Strengths,” founder of The Marcus Buckingham Foundation

The benefits of attending at a local site include networking opportunities with local community leaders, reduced cost and travel time and growth and learning opportunities in a setting close to home.

In the fall, the summit goes global in 60 languages, reaching 128 countries to inspire an anticipated 400,000 leaders.

The Point is at 311 Myers St., Seymour.
