Steven L. Bell, 70, of Seymour, IN, passed away at I U Medical Center on Sunday, July 30, 2017.

Steve was born December 15, 1946 in Indianapolis, the son of Harry Shiphorst and Doris Roslyn (Cramer) Shiphorst Bell . He married Bonnie A. Rains on June 25, 1988 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.

Steve had his own pet grooming business and work for 25 years until retirement in 2007. He love working in pottery and also grew roses with Bonnie. He loved to travel with Bonnie. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of 29 years; a daughter, Ginia (Randy) Mathews; 2 grand daughters and several great-grandchildren.

His parents, and a brother, Frank Kautsky preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church where Rev. Philip Bloch and Rev. Ralph Blomenberg will officiate. Visitation will be at Burkholder Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, from 1:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Bell’s burial will follow the funeral service at Lutheran Cemetery.
