Shields High School Class of 1957’s 60th reunion recently was conducted at the residence of Sarah Steinker Stephens, a former class member who is now deceased.
Mark and Kelly Stephens served as host and hostess.
The weekend included an informal get-together to get reacquainted, view pictures and mementos, reminisce about high school days and remember classmates that are no longer with us.
Weekend activities included a tour of the Freeman Army Airfield Museum, a visit to the Jackson County Visitor Center, including a recap of the history of Seymour given by classmate John Burkhart, and a visit to Larrison’s Diner that brought back memories of high school days when Hart’s Sandwich Shop served “hamburgers, onions and fries” at that same location.
A dinner was catered byThe Pines Restaurant to conclude the reunion, with a decision to meet again in five years.
