Sunday was the first day of the fair and the first time I got to see what my projects received and to walk around.
I got reserve grand champion in plant science and champion in construction toy, garden and plant science.
I also got a first place in the FFA barn with a poster explaining aquaponic bacteria.
I will have to wait to find out about rabbits, poultry, swine and sewing.

My brother and sister also completed many projects.
My brother, Nathaniel, received three state fair entries, a grand champion and reserve grand champion on his projects.
My sister, Grace, received several blue ribbons and also will have to wait for rabbit, swine, sewing and consumer clothing results.
I always like the first day of the fair. I get three scoops of strawberry ice cream from the Farm Bureau building before the balloon launch. After the balloon launch, we unloaded our fair pigs and washed them.
As I was waiting for the open beef show to end, I ran into a few of my friends and got to talk to them for a few minutes.
I worked in the 4-H building for part of the evening. I spent time with my family and church friends and ended my night with an elephant ear.
