James R. and Ruth Ann Smith of Norman will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner planned at the home of their daughter.

James and the former Ruth Ann Robinson were married July 20, 1957, at Medora Christian Church. The Rev. James Brown officiated.

The couple have one daughter, Michele McCory of Brownstown; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

James served in the U.S. Army and retired from ABB in Bloomington after 42 years.

Ruth Ann retired from Ben Franklin after 18 years.

Both are members of Medora Wesleyan Methodist Church.
