Seymour High School to host blood drive

A bloodmobile will be at Seymour High School’s parking lot from 3 to 8 p.m.  Thursday.

The Seymour football team is teaming up with Indiana Blood Center, in collaboration with the Indianapolis Colts’ Leadership Challenge Blood Drive.

BC football camp week set

The Brownstown Central football camp week will start today.

A 7-on-7 lineman challenge will take place at West Washington High School (Campbellsburg) at 10 a.m.

On Monday, there will be the 56ers football equipment handout, fall registration and camp sign up will take place at 4:30 p.m. on the high school game field. Middle school football equipment handout, registration and camp signups are at 5 p.m. at the middle school, and freshmen will have signups for their camp at 5 p.m. in the high school football locker room.

The 56ers camp will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at the high school practice field. Middle school camp will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on the same days at the middle school.

A “Football 101: Women’s Clinic” will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the football stadium. Admission is free.

On Thursday, there will be a player organizational meeting at 7 p.m. in the high school football locker room for ninth- through 12th-graders.

Superstars Night will take place Friday and will feature physical tests for the high school team; a 56ers punt, pass and kick competition; a middle school scrimmage; and an awards ceremony at Blevins Memorial Stadium.

There will be a community blood drive from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the football stadium. Appointments can be scheduled at donorpoint.org (sponsor code: D708)

A 7-on-7 lineman challenge will take place starting at 9 a.m. July 22 on the high school field. That night, there will be a Dancing with the Stars fundraiser at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
