“Twin cousins” Ella May Ulrich of La Grange, Illinois, and Paul Borgman of Jonesville each celebrated their 96th birthday April 22 in Seymour.
Borgman was an active farmer in the Jonesville area all of his adult life. He and his wife, Jenet, still live on that farm. He has two interesting collections — one is antique farm pulleys, and the other is Native American artifacts that have been found over the years on his farm.
Ulrich left Seymour in 1945 when she married Air Force officer and B-17 pilot Norman Ulrich, who she met at Immanuel Lutheran Church while he was in training at Freeman Field. She has lived the rest of her life in a Chicago, Illinois, suburb. She has always been a fantastic hostess, a wonderful letter writer and athletically active, still participating in Tai Chi every week.
