Rosalyn “Rosie” Rae Wright Haag, 83, of Seymour, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017.
Born May 1, 1934, at Vallonia, she was the daughter of Preston “Pete” and Wylda Crockett Wright, both of whom preceded her in death. On Oct. 10, 1954, in Brownstown, she married Carroll “Curly” Haag, who survives.
She studied at Purdue University and worked in real estate, for the telephone company and the U.S Census Bureau. She was an avid daylily farmer and belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star Seymour chapter 134, Garden Club of Indiana, American Hemerocallis (daylily) Society, Republican Women’s Association, Indiana State PTO and Purdue Extension Club. She also was a Girl Scout Brownie leader and Boy Scouts den mother.
Survivors include her sons, Joseph Haag and Jeffrey (Sheila) Haag; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Shannon) Patton, Dawn (Barry) Haag Winston, Bryan (Jennifer) Haag, Brandon Haag and Caroline Haag; great-grandchildren, Addison Patton, Maggie Patton and Brock Haag; a brother, Ronald Wright; and a sister, Rita Wright McCrossan.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Seaney officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials may be made to the National Garden Club youth scholarship.
