Family and friends of Florence Amelia Carter are invited to an open house to celebrate her 100th birthday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the social room at Lutheran Community Home, 111 Church Ave., Seymour.
She was born April 26, 1917, in Indianapolis.
She is the widow of T. Volney Carter and a longtime resident of Jackson County.
She was active in the Pine Ridge Extension Homemakers Club and Past Presidents Homemakers Club and was a member of a gardeners club.
All family and friends are invited. No gifts are requested, but guests are asked to come to share your memories.
