St. Peter’s Lutheran Ladies Aid March

The St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Ladies Aid met March 2 in the parish hall of the Brownstown church.

The meeting opened by singing the hymn “Come to Calvary’s Holy Mountain.”

President Kathy Cunningham gave devotions by reading “God Knows No Statute of Limitation on Kindness.”

Eight members were present. The secretary report was read and approved.

Flowers were placed on the altar two Sundays in February by the Ladies Aid.

Janet Myers reported on visiting members in the nursing homes.

Cunningham reported valentines were sent to members in nursing homes and sick and shut-ins.

It was voted not to serve cookies and drinks after the Lenten services.

A discussion was conducted and names were read of those who signed up to help with the funeral dinners, etc. Thanks went to those who agreed to help.

Loretta Crowley is on the visitation committee for March.

The hostess was Bonnie Duffy.

The meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer.
