PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla.

Jerry Sylvester Whitehead, 67, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at St. Lucie Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Whitehead of Port St. Lucie; three daughters, Bridgett (Terry) Sharp of West Lafayette, Melissa (Brian) Neuman of Greenwood and Sarah Whitehead of Franklin; six grandchildren; four sisters, Juanita Rice, Linda Thompson, Judy Holden and Jessica Mikesell; and a brother, Jack Whitehead.

A memorial service was Saturday at Morningside Church in Port St. Lucie.

A gathering of friends and relatives will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Taylorsville United Methodist Church in Indiana.
