WESTPORT

Billy Joe Deaton, 69, of Westport died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Deaton of Westport; son, Dan Deaton of Indianapolis; daughters, Kim (Jim) Whitaker of Westport and Tonya Deaton of Indianapolis; brother, Earl Deaton Jr. of Ohio; sisters, Charlotte (J.B.) Bell of North Vernon, Deborah (Gary) of Conroe, Texas, Vicki (Richard) Strine of Ohio, and Robbin (Mike) Krauser of Ohio; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial and military graveside rites will be at Vernon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the volunteers of Rescue 20, Westport Volunteer Fire Department or Disabled American Veterans.
