A gas leak in the Ewing area of Brownstown is in the process of being repaired, allowing residents to return to their homes.
Update at 8:12 p.m. Thursday.

The west side of Brownstown has been evacuated because of a natural gas leak.

The leak was reported at about 6:30 p.m. in the area of Ewing and Depot streets.

Brownstown Central Middle School has been opened for anyone in the Ewing area who needs a place stay.
