The Young Heroes Club at Crothersville Junior Senior High School plans to hold its sixth annual Night of Colors cancer benefit on Jan. 27 during the varsity boys basketball contest with Trinity Lutheran High School.

The purpose of the benefit is to raise awareness about the various types of cancer and help fund research to help save lives. There will be a silent auction, T-shirts will be sold and many other activities are being planned. All proceeds will given to the American Cancer Society.

A year ago, more than $3,500 was raised for cancer research, and the goal for this year’s event is to collect more.

The varsity game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 27.
